NAMPA -- Nampa Police have a suspect in custody after more than a dozen people had their homes or cars vandalized Wednesday afternoon.

Officers responded to several 911 calls of vandalism and people running from the area from the 2500 block of Sundance Road to the 2200 block of W Karcher Road.

They say a man was breaking car windows with a large pipe.

When officers caught up with the man, he broke the window of a police vehicle as well.

Investigators say 15 people had their vehicles or homes damaged.

The 18-year-old Nampa resident has been hospitalized. Police say he was not injured but is undergoing evaluation.

The investigation is ongoing with charges pending.
