SPOKANE, Wash.--A trial began Monday for a woman accused of leaving the scene of a fatal wreck in North Idaho.

Police said Briana Knapp ran into off-duty Spokane police officer Kurt Henson in the summer of 2012. She ran into him after he wrecked his motorcycle.

Authorities said 29-year-old Knapp drove away. She turned herself in the next day.

Knapp faces felony charges of leaving the scene of a fatal crash. She is not charged with causing the death. Knapp plead not guilty.
