BOISE -- Many of you ran, walked or strolled in last month's FitOne event

On Thursday, the FitOne organization presented a check for $70,000 to St. Luke's Children's Hospital.

The money will help fund programs that promote healthy habits in children, such as the Bogus Basin Summer Camp and the Be Well Now Festival.

About 8,000 people visited the two-day FitOne Expo and 5,000 people took part in the 5K and 9K run/walk events on September 20.

The money for St. Luke's was raised through merchandise sales, event registration fees and sponsorships.
