MERIDIAN -- Meridian Police say they have arrested an 18-year-old Nampa man in connection with a lewd conduct incident that occurred at Roaring Springs Waterpark Tuesday afternoon.

Officers responded to the waterpark located at 400 W. Overland Road at 5:10 p.m.

After their initial investigation, police arrested George McFadden. He was booked into the Ada County Jail on felony charges of lewd conduct with a minor and battery with intent to commit a serious felony.

Meridian Police Lt. Scott Colaianni says McFadden tried to grab a boy in the men's bathroom, but he managed to get away. However, a short time later, Colaianni says McFadden grabbed a second boy and touched him inappropriately. Both victims were under the age of 16.

At this time, police do not believe there are additional victims. Colaianni says this type of incident at Roaring Springs is very rare, and the waterpark does a good job of being a safe place for families.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the Meridian Police Department.

McFadden was arraigned on the felony charges in an Ada County courtroom Wednesday afternoon. A judge set his bond at $300,000 and appointed him a public defender. McFadden is due back in court on August 6.
