EAGLE -- The city council and mayor of Eagle are getting a pay raise.

Tuesday night, the council voted 3-1 to approve a pay increase for the mayor from $42,000 to $50,000 annually.

The council members saw their pay go up from $5,600 to $8,400, with the council president making $10,500.

Councilman Mark Butler says this gets the council back, roughly, to what the council pay was in 2000.

He says they're still short of 2009 levels when pay was cut in half.
