BOISE -- The Boise State Broncos will find out their bowl game fate Sunday night.

The Broncos are coming off a 27-21 win at Nevada on Saturday, where they won a share of the Mountain West Conference championship.

Boise State is still in play for a BCS Bowl, although the chances are slim. The Broncos got help over the weekend when Stanford beat UCLA, Kansas State beat Texas, and Northern Illinois beat Kent State in the MAC championship.

But in order to get a big-money bowl game, Boise State has to get into the top 16 in the BCS rankings, and they have to be the highest ranked non-AQ school, which means that Northern Illinois could still knock the Broncos out.

In the latest USA Today Coaches' Poll, released Sunday, the Broncos stayed at No. 15, but did gain 90 points over last week. Meanwhile NIU moved up two spots to No. 16.

The coaches' poll makes up one-third of the of the BCS standings; the computers, which favor NIU over Boise State also make up one-third.

The BCS standings will be released Sunday night, as will the BCS Bowl matchups. If the Broncos don't get a coveted BCS bid, the Maaco Las Vegas Bowl is expected to send out a quick invite.

In the Associated Press Top 25, the Broncos moved up five spots to No. 20 on Sunday.
