BOISE -- Ada County dispatchers say a concerned caller reported seeing a mountain lion in southeast Boise Sunday night.

Police responded to the report around 9:30 p.m. near the Columbia Hills Subdivision.

However, after officers conducted a quick search of the area, they determined there was no sign of the big cat.

Anyone who thinks they've seen a mountain lion in populated areas where the animals don't belong is encouraged to call the Idaho Dept. of Fish and game at 208-334-3700, or simply dial 911.
