BOISE -- National retailer H&M will open its doors in the Boise Towne Square Mall on Wednesday, November 21st -- the day before Black Friday. The grand opening event is set to begin at noon.
The retailer is a Swedish clothing company known for trendy clothing styles for men, women and children. H&M's first Idaho location is in the space formerly occupied by Borders Books & Music near the mall's main entrance. Borders closed last year when the chain went out of business.
Tina Kierce, Marketing Manager for the mall, says the front entrance has seen some significant change along side the H&M renovations.
Right now the nearest stores are in Salt Lake City & Portland.
Kierce says since H&M has quite a significant following, the mall staff is preparing for several hundred shoppers to wait in line for the grand opening.
H&M is the latest in a string of new national stores to open or in the works at the mall. Nordstrom Rack opened in late April, Dave & Busters is set to open in December, Ulta Beauty opened in July, and Oakley opened just last week.
