BOISE The Boise River will be a good place to stay cool this holiday weekend.

If you're looking for something fun to do and cool off at the same time, Epley's raft and tube rentals is extending their hours.

With temperaturs hovering near 100 degrees, officials believe it's going to be very busy this weekend.

That's why parking at Barber Park will open at 10 a.m. Friday and you can rent tubes and rafts from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

The first shuttle returning to Barber Park will leave Ann Morrison Park at 1 p.m. The shuttles run every 20 minutes.

However, there will not be an 8 or 9 o'clock shuttle because of the fireworks show at Ann Morrison Park Friday night, and they don't want to add any more traffic to that.

We want to remind the public to have fun, but be safe. Right now, the Boise River is cold and moving fast. Be aware of that and always wear a life-jacket on the river.
