BOISE - A Boise woman is facing a felony charge after police say she intentionally set fire to a bedroom.

Karen Yohana Guzman, 23, was taken into custody shortly after the fire was extinguished.

Firefighters were dispatched to the home near South Curtis Road and West Cassia Street early Sunday morning. The crews put the fire out before it spread beyond the bedroom, but the room's contents were badly damaged.

Fire officials say the fire's origin was suspicious, and police soon found evidence linking it to Guzman, who lived at the home. Shewas arrested later Sunday morning.

Police believe a dispute between Guzman and the other residents of the home is the motive for the arson.

Guzman has been charged with first-degree arson, and could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted. She is currently held in the Ada County Jail on a $50,000 bond, and is set for a preliminary hearing June 30.
