NAMPA -- A 54-year-old Nampa woman was taken to a local hospital Thursday night after two fisherman found her under a bridge in Indian Creek. Her condition is improving today, according to police. She has been identified but police are not releasing her name.

Police say two men were fishing when they spotted a woman under a bridge near South Sugar Avenue and Whispering Willow Lane just before 9 p.m.

When police arrived on scene, they found the woman under the bridge.

Nampa Police Sgt. Donald Peck says the woman's family reported her missing just before noon Thursday. It is still unknown how she ended up in the creek. The woman is described as 5-foot-2 with a small build. She was wearing a purple jacket and lives in the area where she was found.

Anyone who saw the woman or has information about this incident is urged to call the Nampa Police Department at 465-2257.
