HAILEY -- People in the Wood River Valley have been celebrating Bowe Bergdahl's release since they got the news Saturday morning. Those in Hailey say it's a celebration that's been a long time coming.

Wood River Valley resident Mark Swenke say's he couldn't hold back his excitement. I got tingly. I thought it was great because I know the parents or I know his dad and just I can't, I couldn't imagine the joy that they're feeling.

Rachael Malone works in Bergdahl's hometown of Hailey. I think it's great. He's been gone for a while and I think that it'll be really nice for everybody to see him back here.

Malone tied balloons to street signs and light poles around town to help spread the message that Bergdahl is finally free.
