MERIDIAN - As we get closer to the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway, some of you have told us you would like to tell your personal stories about an experience at St. Jude.

Meridian's Josh Jacobs is one of the many success stories that St. Jude has turned out.

Josh, his mother and father sat down with KTVB to talk about their St. Jude experience.

It's very aggressive. It kills, said Josh

This Rocky Mountain soon to be senior is talking about the form of brain cancer he was diagnosed with at the age of 12.

The surgery was followed by his family's insurance company pulling the policy, and without insurance they turned to St. Jude.

It was the best possible experience you could get out of a situation like that, said Josh.

When it comes to a place that is the epitome of how health care should be run and delivered. St. Jude is it, said Josh's mom Anne.

After 8 weeks of radiation and 4 months of chemotherapy, doctors at St. Jude gave Josh the all clear.

Five years later Josh and his family still get emotional when they talk about the place 1,800 miles away that made him cancer free,

Thank you St. Jude from the bottom of our hearts, said Anne.

All thanks to St Jude. I would not be sitting here today if it wasn't for them. They are a God send, said Josh.

The St. Jude Dream Home is open for weekend tours through Sunday, June 22, the night of the giveaway here on Channel 7.
