MERIDIAN-- Meridian police say they have made some progress in the investigation into the death of a man who died after a fight inside the 127 Club.

Dale West died of head injuries April 19 after a barroom brawl. A bouncer broke up the fight, and West went to a friend's house, only to be found dead on the couch hours later. The case is being investigated as a homicide.

Deputy Chief Tracy Basterrechea said an initial plea for information yielded a few leads, but police believe some witnesses have not come forward.

Basterrechea issued another request for help from the public Wednesday morning, asking anyone with information to contact the police department at 208-888-6678 or Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
