BANKS, Idaho Drivers traveling along Highway 55 and other mountain highways are urged to use caution and watch for falling rock, mud and other debris.

Traffic on the highway was down to one lane today for a short time near Banks.

There were two reports of rocks falling on the road, one north and one south of Banks.

The Idaho Transportation Department says the rocks were small and have been cleared.

A spokesman says ITD has a maintenance facility in Banks and crews are constantly monitoring the highway for problems.

Rain continues to fall over much of southern Idaho, saturating the hillsides, causing erosion and making conditions ripe to rocks to fall onto roadways.
