EMMETT -- Around 200 veterans were in attendance for a special Veterans Day ceremony at Emmett High School.

Todays' speaker was a retired Air Force master sergeant.

Students and veterans also heard an Army brass band perform and the high school band play.

The students also play an important role in the ceremony.

Our students form a tunnel that the veterans will walk through and shake their hands, said Terry Haun, U.S. Army veteran and chairman of veterans committee for Emmett High School. It's awesome to see the respect paid through this tunnel. I am proud of our students.

This is the 20th year of this event involving high school students.
