BOISE -- The first game of the 2013 Bronco Football season is easily one of its most anticipated.
Fresh off a rebuilding year, Chris Petersen's team will play the University of Washington Huskies in Seattle. The game is significant for three major reasons.
First, the Broncos beat the Huskies by a two-point margin during last year's Maaco Bowl, and analysts predict just a three-point spread this year.
Second, the Huskies are playing the first game in the team's newly-renovated and much-hyped stadium, which will almost certainly be packed with UW fans clad in purple.
Third, the game will likely set the tone for Boise State's 2013 season -- a season many analysts predict Boise State will clinch the Mountain West Conference Championship, and perhaps even score a rare, at-large berth into the Bowl Championship Series. That's where a non-conference win could definitely help the team.
In case you were wondering, tickets to the game are sold out.
