NAMPA-- Children in Nampa are now enjoying the city's first playground that's inclusive for kids of all physical abilities.
It officially opened Thursday.
Nampa Mayor Tom Dale joined dozens of children to cut the ribbon on the newest set of equipment, and even play a little.
This interactive playground has a wheelchair-accessible teeter-totter, ramps to all areas of the playground, and games that light up and make noise, all made specifically with every child in mind.
This is awesome. This is a first for Nampa, that the entire playground is ADA accessible. This is a wonderful thing, said Dale.
Tanks to a grant and generous donations, only about $15,000 in city money was spent on the $400,000 playground.
The playground is located at West Park, off Lone Star Road.
