CALDWELL -- A Caldwell woman and her two small children were injured in a rollover crash Thursday on State Highway 55.
Idaho State Police say 32-year-old Jennifer King was driving westbound near Lake Avenue when she was struck by the driver of a pickup who failed to heed a stop sign. Officers report 50-year-old Steven Jackson drove through the intersection, hitting King's Dodge Ram with his Chevy pickup.
The crash caused the woman's pickup to roll onto its passenger side. She was later taken to a local hospital, along with her two children -- a one-year-old and seven-year-old.
It's not known if 50-year-old Jackson was injured.
Police blocked both lanes of State Highway 55 for about 20 minutes while rescuers worked on the scene. The eastbound lane remained blocked for over an hour.
They say both parties in the crash appeared to be wearing seatbelts, and the children were restrained in car seats.
The crash remains under investigation.
