BOISE -- At least two crashes near Interstate 84 and the Eagle Road interchange backed-up traffic for over an hour Thursday morning.

That's not to mention the runaway black lab that also had rescue officials on the move.

I-84 SNARLED

Thursday's traffic hassles got an early start near Eagle Road and Interstate 84.

The Idaho State Police report a motorcyclist crashed on I-84 eastbound between the onramp and offramp just after 7 a.m. That driver was transported to a local hospital, according to dispatchers.

Another crash happened on the eastbound onramp a short time later. Ada County dispatchers say paramedics were also called to that accident.

ISP reports a third, smaller crash may have also happened, but officers couldn't seem to find that fender bender before the drivers took off.

DOGONTHELOOSE

Meanwhile, an Ada County Highway crash response vehicle was busy tracking a dog running down the side of the freeway near Locust Grove Road.

That vehicle, along with animal control officers, drove down the side of the freeway in pursuit of the dog, which eventually escaped into a nearby golf course.

The dog reportedly ran into traffic several times, causing more frenzy for motorists.

Traffic near Eagle Road and Meridian Road was severely backed up for about 45 minutes as rescuers responded to the situation.
