BOISE -- Saturday was discounted admission to one Boise educational destination, as part of Family Field Trip Saturday.

Families who are suffering from that winter cabin fever grabbed the kids and headed for the World Center for Birds of Prey for an affordable day of fun and educational programs focused on conserving birds of prey.

Participants were given a passport to guide them through various activities and, when completed, they then recieved a free 20-13 Birds of Prey calendar.

One of the fun activities is the kids can build a bird out of a recycled plastic bottle so lots of creativity and a fun project, said Education Programs Coordinator Jessica Cate.

The center has a variety of interactive displays, films about birds and gives visitors a close up look at birds.
