BOISE -- Time is running out if you have gifts you need to mail for the holidays.

It's the final week before Christmas -- and mailboxes are going to be stuffed. The United States Postal Service says Monday is the busiest mailing day of the year.

The local postmaster tells KTVB Idahoans are expected to mail one million cards and packages on this day alone.

In case you're a procrastinator, December 22 is the absolute last day you can ship something and have it arrive for Christmas. That's through Fed Ex overnight or the U.S. Postal Service's Express Mail which are two of the most expensive options.
