GARDEN VALLEY, Idaho -- Rescue workers combed a section of Highway 55 Friday morning after the Boise County Sheriff's Office got a report of headlights in the Payette River.
However, instead of a locating a vehicle, rescuers found a reflective construction sign in the river where the caller reported seeing the headlights.
The report came in at approximately 7:30 a.m., according to Boise County dispatchers.
Officers with the Idaho State Police, along with paramedics and firefighters from Boise County searched Highway 55 two miles south of Banks for about 45 minutes until they found the sign.
The search was called off shortly afterward.
