IDAHOCITY-- German cyclist Ina Yoko Teutenberg has won Stage 3 of the 2012 Exergy Tour in Idaho City with a time of 2 hours 29 minutes, 23 seconds.

Teutenberg rides for Team Specialized Lululemon. She has also been named the Powerbar Sprint Champion for her performance in several of the Exergy Tour's sprint areas.

Teuetenberg fended off second-place challenger Leah Kircham for Sunday's win. Kircham, who efforted a last-minute charge to the finish, crossed the line a wheel behind Teutenberg.

Stage 3 also saw several women compete for the prestigious Queen of the Mountain (QOM) title awarded to the cyclist(s) first to reach the top two summits along the 59.7 mile route, which climbed over 4,520 feet.

That distinction went to five-time Giro d'Italia Femminile champion Fabiana Luperini (Italy) of the Faren Honda Team.

During the race, conditions ranged from cool to rainy with some sunny periods. Higher elevations received a dusting of snow Saturday night.

In the tour's general standings, American cyclist Amber Neben of Team Specialized Lululemon retained the overall lead going into Monday's final event. Teutenberg moved from 9th to 2nd overall. American cyclist Evelynn Stevens is now ranked third. Canadian cyclist Clara Hughes is ranked fourth.

The final stage of the 2012 Exergy Tour will take place on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Boise. The expo area will be open at 10 a.m. The race is expected to conclude at 1 p.m.
