BOISE -- Just hours after the Idaho Steelheads season-ending loss in the playoffs Sunday night, star goalie Jerry Kuhn was arrested and charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence.
He was pulled over by an Idaho State Police trooper and booked into the Ada County Jail just after 3 a.m.
Kuhn played in 70 games for the Steelheads, and had over 2,300 saves this year.
A spokesman for the Steelheads said that the team has addressed the arrest with Kuhn and that Kuhn is cooperating with authorities.
The Steelheads lost to the Las Vegas Wranglers 2-1 in overtime Sunday night, bringing about an end to their season. They dropped the series 4 games to one.
Kuhn has already bonded out of jail.
