There are many activities and events planned for Council in the upcoming summer months. The community is getting creative and working together to help the town bounce back.

Here are a few events planned for this summer in Council, Idaho:

Grand re-opening All About Wood
May 21, 2011
10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Event will feature many local art, and craft vendors, along with wood sculptures custom made by Virgil Butler.
Location: 1902 Highway 95, Council, Idaho


Walk for Hope, Health, & Healing
June 4, 2011
10:30 a.m. at Council High School
Proceeds go to the Adams County Health Center Patient Assistance Foundation


1st Annual Council Motorcycle Rally and Biker's Rodeo
June 10 and 11, 2011
Event features food, fun, live music, and good old competition
50 percent of proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Fund

27th Council Quilt Show
June 22 through July 7, 2011
10 a.m. - 5 p.m. every day at Council Elementary School
Admission: $4 for adults, $3 for students/seniors


Snake River Shootout, Cow Dog Trial
June 25 & 26, 2011
This event is designed to show the team work between a handler, horse, and dog. Entries are due by June 11, 2011. Late entries accepted with a late fee.

41st Annual World Championship Porcupine Races
July 4, 2011 at 12 p.m.

Location: Veteran's Memorial Peace Park near the Fairgrounds
Bands from across the region will be playing Friday through Sunday!
