BOISE -- In just 40 days, more than 2,400 runners will be participating in the 34th annual Race to Robie Creek. While racers focus on their training, road crews are focused on getting the route ready for the event.

The Ada County Highway District says right now, portions of the road are impassable because some areas of the road have been washed out.But Race to Robie Creek coordinators aren't concerned.

Brian Rencher organizes the race each year. He says in the history of the race, they have never had to change the route because of road conditions.

Today, ACHD was busy grading the road and Tuesday they plan to remove the snow.

Race to Robie Creek organizers say come rain, snow or shine, the race will go on.
