BOISE -- A Caldwell man is in the Ada County Jail after police say he launched a failed attempt to rob a Boise bank Monday night.
Taylor William Worley, 24, is accused of walking into the Chase Bank at 3550 West State Street just after 6 p.m. and handing the teller a threatening note demanding money.
But police say the suspect left before employees handed over any cash. When officers arrived on the scene, the victims were able to give a clear description of Worley. Another woman who had been outside during the robbery told police she'd spotted a man running out of the bank and getting into a red Dodge Neon.
An officer with the Garden City Police Department spotted the vehicle minutes later south of State Street off Clithero Drive. Police spoke with Worley, who was driving, and found evidence linking him to the robbery attempt.
Worley was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail. He has been charged with felony robbery and violating his probation. He is due in court Tuesday afternoon.
