BOISE -- Now that the City of Boise owns the Hillside to Hollow Reserve area in the foothills, city leaders have a few questions for you.

The reserve includes 260 acres of land acquired last year with funds from the 2001 foothills levy.

Open houses are planned at 6 p.m. Monday and at noon Wednesday at the Highlands Event Center at 2590 N. Bogus Basin Road.

Questions to be discussed include:

  • What resources should be protected?
  • What amenities should be included?
  • Where should trailheads be located?

The city is accepting comments online here until 5 p.m. on March 15. There's even an interactive map for area specific feedback.

Comments provided online and at the public meeting will be used for a proposed master plan, which will be presented at meetings in late spring or summer.
