BOISE -- A woman from Gooding died Thursday morning in a two-car crash on State Highway 46.

Idaho State Police say 33-year-old Bertha Ramos-Flores was headed north on the highway around 6:50 a.m. near Shoestring Road when she crossed the center line in her 2001 Honda Accord, forcing a 2007 Ford Econoline van driven by 49-year-old Peter Orth of Gooding off the road.

The van and car hit each other head-on.

Ramos-Flores died at the scene. Police say she was not wearing a seatbelt.

They say Orth was wearing his seatbelt. He was taken to North Canyon Medical Center.

The highway was blocked for around three hours. The crash remains under investigation.
