BOISE -- The J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation has agreed to invest $1.5M into making Idaho the nation's first statewide pilot program for online classes provided by the Khan Academy.

The goal is to make Khan Academy's courses available to 47 public and charter schools across the state.

The program provides video lessons and online exercises in a variety of subjects, including math, finance, history and science.
