DALLAS -- The Western Athletic Conference added the University of Texas-Arlington making them the fifth member to join in the last year and the tenth overall in the conference.
UTA is currently a member of the Southland Conference, but will join the WAC as of July 1, 2012 along with Denver, Texas State, Texas-San Antonio, and Seattle.
UT-Arlington along with Seattle and Denver will be non-football playing members when they join the conference.
