Lawrence signs rookie contract with Dallas Cowboys

DALLAS, TX-- Former Boise State football player Demarcus Lawrence signed his rookie contract with the Dallas Cowboys on Wednesday, according to David Moore of The Dallas Morning News.

It is a four-year deal that will play him approximately $5.5 million, according to Moore.

Lawrence was drafted No. 34 overall by the Cowboys in the 2014 NFL Draft last month. He was the final Cowboys draft pick to sign.

The two-time All-Mountain West selection played two seasons at Boise State and led the Broncos in sacks both seasons.

He is expected to compete for a starting spot at right end for the Cowboys this fall.
