Boise State's Rice to face son in exhibition game

BOISE - Saturday's men's basketball exhibition game between Boise State and Northwest Christian will be a family affair.

Boise State coach Leon Rice and the Broncos will be playing against Rice's oldest son, Brock, who is a freshman for the Beacons.

Brock was a standout player for Timberline High School in Boise, where last season he broke a school record with 43 points scored in a game against Lake City High School.

Saturday's game will be the Broncos' second exhibition - they beat Lewis-Clark State, 85-53, last Friday - before opening up regular season play against Northwest University (WA) on Nov. 12.

The game tips off at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5 at Taco Bell Arena.
