BOISE -- Idaho Steelheads rookie goal tender, Richard Bachman has been named the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week.
Bachman, a 22 year-old keeper from Colorado College was 2-0-1 between the pipes last week and had a goals against average of 2.25 as the Steelheads took 5 of a possible 6 points on their weekend trip to Alaska.
Bachman is now 4-0-1 on the season with a save percentage up near 91-percent. His 4 wins is also tied for tops in the entire ECHL.
This is the first time Bachman has received an honor of any kind from the ECHL, but it marks the 2nd time a Steelheads goalie has taken home this honor this season. Rejean Beachemin was tender of the week after the first week of the season.
