BOISE -- The Rocky Mountain baseball team won their 11th straight game with an 11-1 victory over Capital on Friday.
With the game scoreless entering the top of the fourth, the Grizzlies erupted for nine runs.
After Connor Corpus doubled home both Ryan Beard and Nick Becar to make it 3-0, Jared Thoren sent a two-run triple to the gap in right-center to plate both Jackson Cluff and Devyn Christian.
Later in the same inning, Beard stepped to the dish for a second time and capped off the scoring with a two-run double of his own to take a 9-0 lead.
In the bottom of the fifth, Montana quarterback commit Makena Simis led off with a solo shot to left field, his second of the season, but it only delayed the inevitable.
The Grizzlies bounced back with two more of their own in the top of the sixth, before the mercy was invoked.
With the win, the defending 5A state champions improve to 14-1 on the season, including 10-1 in league play.
Rocky Mountain returns to the diamond on Tuesday when they take on Meridian.
