BOISE -- The U.S. National Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Championships are taking place on Dollar Mountain, Baldy Mountain, and at the Nordic Center in Sun Valley this week.

Nearly 100 schools are involved including The College of Idaho, which produced the week's first national championship when McKinley Carbon won the women's snowboard half pipe Tuesday on Dollar Mountain,

Zach Tomlinson from The College of Idaho finished 30th in the men's giant slalom, Wednesday afternoon.

The College of Idaho Yotes is making their 14th appearance at the nationals in the last 15 years.

The competition wraps up on Saturday.
