BOISE-- Former Bronco and UFC fighter Scott Jorgensen is no stranger to the big stage. He was a 3-time PAC-10 champion wrestler at BSU, and has been in the octagon 18 times.
Friday, he will be back in the spotlight fighting on the main card of UFC on FX. Jorgensen will face Eddie Wineland in a bantamweight match up.
The former Bronco is bouncing back from a loss four months ago, and says he is excited to be back in action, representing Boise in prime time.
"This is what I chose to fight for. I want to fight in front of big crowds on prime time in front of millions of people worldwide, and now I have that opportunity to do it," Jorgensen said Tuesday night. "I take the flag of Idaho probably into the cage every time I fight. I represent a lot of fans out of Boise. Not just Boise, but my gym and Boise State, being an alumni there. So I'm very proud to be a part of that."
The UFC on FX starts at 7:00 MT. Jorgensen's fight is the first on the main card.
