BOISE -- The Boise State Men's Basketball team (15-7. 5-4) is set take on the No. 5 Aztecs of San Diego State University (19-1, 8-0) at 7:15 p.m. MST on Wednesday, February 5 at Taco Bell Arena.
For the Boise State basketball team, they don't come much bigger than Wednesday's home matchup against fifth ranked San Diego State.
The Aztecs have won 18 straight games, their last loss came back in mid-November to a very talented Arizona team. They are also coming off at 65-56 win against Colorado State, which gave head coach Steve Fisher his 300th win at SDSU.
The last time the Broncos and Aztecs met, Leon Rice's crew came out swinging, and had a chance to win at the last second, but Derrick Marks couldn't get the tough shot to fall.
With just nine games left in the regular season, the Broncos could use a signature win to help pad their resume going into March.
This will be only the third time in which a top-five team has visited Taco Bell Arena. The other two teams were Wyoming back on December 22, 1987 who were ranked No. 5, and back on December 30, 1999 Cincinnati who was No. 3 at the time also visited Taco Bell Arena.
