BOISE-- Four Boise State wrestlers will be in the national spotlight this week at the NCAA National Tournament in St. Louis. Brian Owen, George Ivanov, Jake Swartz and Brent Chriswell will all leave for the tournament on Tuesday, and will open with matches on Thursday.
While the idea of wrestling on the biggest stage in the sport may seem daunting, the Broncos say that they are confident that they have the experience to make a run deep into the tournament.
"I know what to expect and I won't get caught off guard with the big crowds and all of the excitement. So I'll be able to focus more and just be ready for every match," sophomore Jake Swartz said.
"These guys really don't have nothing to lose and everything to gain so why not give it everything you've got," said BSU head coach Greg Randall.
The opening round for the NCAA National Tournament is Thursday, with the championship matches scheduled for Saturday.
