BOISE-- The Idaho Steelheads are back on the ice with the start of training camp on Monday. This will be the second year for head coach Hardy Sauter. Even though the season is just getting started and he has only seen one practice, Sauter says that he has learned some valuable lessons to be successful from his first year.
"I think we learned that we need to keep an extra body around, just through injuries and call ups we found ourselves short a lot," Sauter said. "Obviously we need to find a goalie or two that we can hang onto for the whole year. But for the most part it's going to be about chemistry."
Along with a host of new players at training camp, fan favorite and all-time leading scorer Marty Flichel is also back for the season.
