LAS VEGAS--  The Idaho Steelheads fell behind one game to none in a best-of-seven series on Monday night after losing 3-1 to the Las Vegas Wranglers.

The Steelheads got out to a quick start when Jacob Cepis found Michael Neal on a break away in the first period.  Neal lifted a shot over the shoulder of Mitch O'Keefe to score and take a 1-0 lead.  But after that things went bad for the away team.  The Wranglers scored back-to-back goals in the second to take the lead.  Idaho couldn't find an answer in the final period, and the final blow came on an empty-net goal with time about to expire.

Idaho only registered 18 shots on goal in the contest, to 45 shots on net by the Wranglers.

Both teams will face off in Game 2 on Tuesday night in Las Vegas.
