BOISE--  The Idaho Steelheads are still in search of a home win in the new year after a 4-1 loss to Stockton at CenturyLink Arena on Tuesday night.
The Steelheads doubled up the Thunder in shots on goal in the first period, but were unable to get one past Stockton goalkeeper Alex Stalock.  Idaho was finally able to break the 0-0 tie early in the second period when Michael Neal slipped a shot past Stalock from the left-hand circle.  But the lead would not last long.  Stockton responded with three goals in the second period, and one more in the third to wrap up the victory.
Jerry Kuhn stopped 19 of 23 shots in the loss.
Both teams will meet again on Wednesday night.
