BOISE-- If punches were scored as points in hockey, the Idaho Steelheads would have broken the scoreboard on Saturday night. Unfortunately for the Steelheads, goals are what win games, as the Ontario Reign swept Idaho with a 5-0 victory.
Perhaps showing their frustration after trailing 2-0 after the first period, the Steelheads had no problem dropping the gloves and tussling with Reign players. The spark that fighting sometimes provides didn't come for the home team though. Dousing whatever sparks there may have been was Reign goaltender Chris Carrozzi. The net minder turned away all 33 shots on goal in the victory.
The loss was the fourth straight for Idaho. The Steelheads will go on the road for their next five games, starting with a series against Utah on Friday.
