The Idaho Steelheads had a 4-1 lead going with less than seven minutes remaining in Monday night's contest at Utah.  That lead was not enough, though.  The Grizzlies made up that three goal deficit to force overtime.  Neither team scored in the extra period, and Utah outlasted the Steelheads in a shootout to take the 5-4 win.

Idaho had no trouble finding the net early on in the game.  Jacob Cepis tallied two goals in the first and second periods, with Chad Nehring and Tommy Lange scoring the other two goals.  But a couple of bad bounces that led to Utah goals were too much for the away team.

Jerry Kuhn saved 50 of 54 shots in the loss.

Idaho returns home on February 8 to host the Alaska Aces.
