The Randy Livingston head coaching era got off to a bit of a rough start Saturday night as the Idaho Stampede lost to New Mexico 114-93.

The Stampede stuggled all night and trailed from about the middle of the first quarter on, but that didn't mean the team didn't have any bright spots.

Top draft choice Salim Stoudamire score 19 points, while Walter Sharpe pulled down 5 rebounds and added a team high 20 points.

The 'Pede had a great performance in the 3rd quarter outscoring the T-Birds 31-26.

The team is off until Friday when they take on Texas.
