BOISE -- The Idaho Stampede announced Wednesday that Luke Babbit has been assigned to the team after playing 8 games with the Portland Trail Blazers.
Babbit, a rookie out of the University of Nevada-Reno, was the 16th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwovles, but was traded to Portland in a draft night deal.
During the NBA Summer League Babbit averaged just over 14 points and almost three rebounds per game.
The rookie will join the Stampede Wednesday when they host the Dakota Wizards.
