Cullity nets two, Steelies hammer Wranglers

BOISE-- Idaho defenseman Patrick Cullity scored his first and second goals of the season as the Steelheads skated past Las Vegas en route to a 4-1 victory at CenturyLink Arena on Tuesday night.

Cullity got the Steelheads on the board first when he ripped a shot from the left point, beating Vegas goaltender Travis Fullerton to take a 1-0 lead. The Wanglers tied it later in the first period, but Idaho got the lead back for good in the second when William Rapuzzi snuck a forehand shot from the left side past Fullerton.

The Steelheads got an insurance goal from Taylor Vause later in the second, and then Cullity notched his second of the game on a one-timer in the third period. That marked the first two-goal game in Cullity's professional career.

Idaho net-minder Josh Robinson was returned from the AHL on Tuesday, and turned aside 23-of-24 shots on goal in the win.

The Steelheads will host the Wranglers again on Friday night.
