IRVINE, Calif. - The College of Idaho advanced to the title game of the Irvine Region at the NAIA Softball National Championships following a 4-0 victory over St. Gregory's University on Tuesday.

Yotes senior Nickayla Skinner tossed a five-hit shutout and hit a solo homerun, while Emily Craig contributed with a solo shot of her own.

The Lady Yotes (36-22) lost earlier in the day to No. 1 ranked Concordia-Irvine, which put the College of Idaho in the losers bracket. Now they will get another crack at the Eagles (47-3) on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.

Since it is a double-elimination tournament and Concordia-Irvine has yet to lose, the Yotes must beat the Eagles twice in order to move on to the final site of National Championships in Columbus, Ga.
