Moscow -- The University of Idaho women's basketball team hasn't played a game yet this season and have already suffered a season ending injury. On Thursday, head coach Jon Newlee announced senior guard/post Derisa Teleni will miss the 2009-10 season with a knee injury.
Taleni was a unanimous choice to the pre-season WAC second team, but during practice earlier this week sustained an ACL injury. Last season she was awarded WAC Newcomer of the Year and also received all-WAC honors. She also ranked 4th in the conference with a 14.5 points per game scoring average.
